Your Yoga Instructor

Meet Kelly Andrews

Born and raised in Greeneville, Tennessee, my husband Bill and I moved back to the mountains from Florida in 2021 to care give for family. Having purchased a property in downtown Mountain City in 2017, we decided to build out the downstairs as living space and the upstairs as a yoga studio (I had a yoga studio in my home in Florida too), so I could continue to teach yoga and provide selfcare and resilience workshops and trainings.

I have always worked in the Health & Wellness field, and in 2000 I started attending a yoga class at the local Recreation Center in Florida. Having been a Group Exercise Instructor since college and an avid athlete (runner, cyclist, hiker), I found yoga to be a wonderful compliment to personal wellness program. I completed my 1000 hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) with Southern Institute for Yoga Instructors (SIYS) in 2005 and registered as a 500 E-RYT and YACEP (Continuing Education Provider) with Yoga Alliance. I have studied with many Master Teachers over the years including Betty Larsen & John Charping (my YTT Instructors), Judith Lasater, Karin Stephan, Amrit Desai, Kristine Kaveri Weber and others.

My yoga classes are Heart Centered in nature, with a focus on alignment, restoration and nervous system regulation. In addition to teaching yoga part time, and I am also a Certified HeartMath® Trainer and Resilience Coach. My mission it to assist individuals, organizations and communities in evolving to their greatest capacity through healthy, happy, heart- centered living.

Mountain City, TN Yoga with Kelly Andrews

“Kelly is such an effective instructor. She possesses a rare combination of skill, knowledge, empathy and intuition. She knows her students well enough to give individual instruction when needed for specific problems, providing alternatives for positions that might cause strain. Somehow she seems to sense what we all need, what is the right focus for each class. I always leave feeling renewed and energized, even when I barely managed to drag myself to class!” - Terri Morris
